Christmas...yes, I'm finally posting pics

I have no excuses for the super late post, but figured I should get it up before Feb!  This reminds me, I should really take down the rest of the Christmas decor.

December

We did get some snow last week which was fun, but the rest of December was a little traumatizing for Nicholas.

First we went to meet Santa, and I don't know who wanted it to be over sooner....me, Nicholas or poor Santa! 

Second, we decided it was time for a haircut after someone said that Nicholas looked like the "guy from Dumb and Dumber"!  I could handle the strangers asking "how old is SHE", but Jeff Daniels from Dumb and Dumber?!...yikes, that did it for me.  

It wasn't as bad as the Santa visit, but there was some protesting.  Some tears, grabbing for the sissors and whiping his head around trying to get out of the hair dresser's reach.  It ended well, his hair is still a bit wild but it's out of his eyes.

Lots of catch-up photos

We take a weekly class at The Little Gym, and Nicholas is learning all sorts of new tricks.  Andy made it over during a lunch break so I was able to snap a couple photos.  His favorite part is chasing the bubbles at the end of class. 

At Daddy's birthday brunch.

We spent Thanksgiving at Wintergreen and were too busy eating and enjoying the company to take many photos.  We also spent our first night away from Nicholas while Nana and Pops kept him for the day/night.  Not sure why we waited 14 months to do that! 

He loves taking walks but DOES NOT like holding hands anymore (which is why we make him wear the helmet...I mean hat), Mr. Independent.

We had a weekend full of trick-or-treating, thankfully we didn't have to deal with the sugar highs/lows of a toddler...we'll save that fun for next year.  It's amazing was a little hair gel can do for this boy. 

Goooo Aunt Heidi!!

Aunt Heidi ran the Marine Corps Marathon this morning in D.C., and was all smiles ever time we saw her.  We set up in Georgetown and saw her pass twice, the second time Andy jumped in and ran down M street with her and Todd.

Party, Party, Party!

Nicholas' cousin, Christina, turned 2 earlier this month.  She had a party at The Little Gym today, which was so much fun.  Nicholas loved sitting at the kids table with his party hat on eating pizza after all the gym activities.  Our camera is still being fixed so we don't have any photos, but Aunt Heidi sent some over from the family party last weekend.
